Roxanne Banta Borger (Roxy) is on a mission to learn, share, and connect as much as possible within the boutique wellness industry. She’s a true teacher at heart and self taught entrepreneur who loves to serve the wellness industry that has saved her life in so many ways. Roxy has a passion for helping renegade, passionate, life enhancing businesses thrive, including her own.
Roxy has worked in the wellness industry since 2005, and has helped thousands of wellness businesses and clients of MINDBODY grow 40%* through remote and on-site consulting, teaching engagements, and public speaking events. Roxy helped co-create MINDBODY University (MBU) Educational Events and the MBU Business Consultant Program. Roxy made her studio owner dream come true when she got a loan, emptied her savings, and bought and ran her own studio for 5 years. Roxy has been working since she was 14 years old and hopes to be teaching still when she’s 80.
IT ALL STARTED WHEN…
Roxy applied for a part-time job as an administrator at this little start up called MINDBODY in 2005. After professing an obsession with yoga and spreadsheets, she was hired as the first office manager, and hasn’t looked back since.

After working with passionate studio owners for 5+ years in her work with MINDBODY and teaching yoga on the side, Roxy bought and became owner of Smiling Dog Yoga, the studio she taught at. Roxy played the role of teacher, desk staff, accountant, marketer, manager, handyman, visionary and more. After growing studio revenue 45%, consistently paying herself, launching teacher trainings, and having a baby, Roxy sold the studio to a good friend and is still helping the studio continue it's service and evolution.
Roxy knows first hand what it takes to run a wellness business and brings this unique insiders perspective to the businesses she works with to help inspire and transform. She knows what’s normal and what’s not in the yoga, fitness, and wellness industries she serves. She dreams of Key Performance Indicators* in her sleep. Roxy loves organizing business processes so that we can save time, be more efficient, and spend more energy on what matters most. Roxanne was the first Customer Service Manager at MINDBODY and knows how to use MINDBODY software like the back of her hand. She has a degree in mathematics and uses her technical prowess and problem solving skills to help businesses get it done!
Roxy grew up in Detroit, Michigan and loves the grit and soul it gifted her with. She loves using her hand as a map whenever she gets a chance. In addition to her experience in the wellness industry, Roxanne also has experience in customer service, management, database programming, and lecturing at the university level. She loves teaching, problem solving, and helping people become healthier, happier versions of themselves – directly and indirectly.
