I’m a huge believer in the magic of soulful community and inspired, in person experiences
The more I think about it, the more convinced I am that in person experiences are more necessary now than ever. Technology gets better and does so many amazing things to help us humans live more effective lives. Yet, it is not a substitute for the social glue we humans thrive on.
My entire life I’ve found myself drawn to soulful (movement) communities wherever I could find them. I remember sweating to the oldies in gym class in high school and trying to get my friends to join me and have fun. I’ve bonded with neighbors at step aerobics, made so many yoga friends, and bonded on all the hiking retreats. I have nerded out with my fellow wellpreneurs on all things business and had the best times. As a recovering workaholic, mom of two, and entrepreneur always and forever on a shoestring budget, I have often felt very alone and like I have to be the one to do EVERYTHING. This is on top of being positive and agile in responding to the ever changing market/world we exist in. I now realize that I have a hard time staying motivated and inspired - even as an eternal optimist, life long overachiever, and lover of health and wellness. Sometimes stepping away from your bubble is the best thing to help get perspective and see where your next success story begins.

Mindbody University 2006 - 2022
I helped launch Mindbody University (MBU) in 2006 and was involved with most of the events thereafter. MBU business intensives were aimed at helping customers of Mindbody become better businesses AND better users of the software platform. I was involved with 75+ 3-day conferences, taught over 300 talks, and helped create programming and a network of inspiring business leaders and speakers.
The Bold Conference was Mindbody’s User Conference held in LA / San Diego from 2014-2022 and it was a bigger and more inspirational user focused conference with tons of great programming, sessions, keynote speakers, fitness classes, and great parties. MBU was a subset and part of this conference and it was a fun era for me and my Fit Tech Biz Fam.
